Global Capital Forum

Objectives

The Global Capital Forum represents the interests of the BVCA’s larger members, investing multi-billion dollar funds in multiple jurisdictions.

The forum works to ensure that the BVCA’s engagement with Government and all other stakeholders accurately represents this segment and it campaigns to improve the industry’s standing on the international stage.

The BVCA Governance Handbook provides directors, members and employees of the BVCA with a summary of our governance structure. This includes information on how our Council, Committees and Advisory Groups are constituted and is supplementary to the Articles of Association.

Activities

  • Engaging with Government, trade unions, officials and other interested parties to articulate the benefits the industry can bring to the economy, particularly through ownership of large companies with annual sales in excess of £1 billion
  • Due to the global nature of the firms represented on this committee, it seeks to maintain close dialogue with other national associations across Europe, but also in the US
  • Working alongside the BVCA's Technical Committees (Legal & Technical, Taxation and Regulatory) by advising on matters that affect global buy-outs
