Overview

Private equity and venture capital firms, also known as General Partners, are active in making equity investments primarily in unquoted companies. General Partners raise funds from institutional investors such as pension funds and insurance companies.

Our General Partner membership encompasses UK and international private equity and venture capital fund managers, corporate venturers, infrastructure and turnaround fund managers, social impact fund managers, real estate fund managers, alternative lenders and direct investors.

Our membership categories are distinguished by the type of organisation, and the membership fee is reflective of this type. We also distinguish between full members of the BVCA and associate members. Only full members are entitled to vote at BVCA Annual General Meetings.

GP and LP members can access a list of Annual Investor Meetings to help with their planning.
