Venture Capital Forum

Objectives

The BVCA Venture Capital Forum exists to support the interests of the UK venture industry and the high-growth companies that it supports.

The Forum does so by:

  • Providing support to venture firms' fundraising efforts by supplying appropriate industry data, insights and making the case for the asset class
  • Telling the story of entrepreneurship to a wider audience, and showing how venture capital supports entrepreneurs, changes lives and builds jobs in the UK and Europe
  • Achieving high levels of venture membership and ensuring there is a high level of satisfaction with the service the BVCA provides
  • Promoting an entrepreneurial economy through appropriate fiscal and regulatory policies

The BVCA Governance Handbook provides directors, members and employees of the BVCA with a summary of our governance structure. This includes information on how our Council, Committees and Advisory Groups are constituted and is supplementary to the Articles of Association.

Activities

  • Promoting the venture capital industry to investors, fund managers, Government, and other audiences to demonstrate the economic case for venture and its wider contributions to society.
  • Hosting informative events to inform and link entrepreneurs and investors and attract attention to the sector.
  • Conducting or recommending research that the BVCA should undertake to support this segment of the membership.
